ABOUT TANKISO MOLOI

Tankiso is enthusiastic and passionate leader with interest in Global Financial Stability. Prior to his current role of a full-time Professor and the Head of Postgraduate Studies in Accountancy at the University of Johannesburg, he had previously been employed by the University of South Africa as a Director of Enterprise Risk Management and as a full-time Professor in the Department of Financial Governance, Anglo-American Kumba Iron Ore as a Chief Accountant Performance Reporting and a Chief Accountant Integrated Risk Management, and Statistics South Africa (Stats SA) as a Chief Financial Economist, Senior Financial Economist and Economist.

He has obtained a PhD in Finance, an MCom in Accounting, an MSc in Financial Management, an MA in International Relations and World Order, an Honours BCom in Accounting, a BCom in Accounting & Economics and a Programme for Management Development. he is a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), Associate Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA) and a full-time member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), he is also a Professional Accountant (SA) and a full-time member of the South African Institute of Professional Accountants. Furthermore, he is a Charted Risk Analyst (CRA) with the International Academy of Financial Management.

His Research interest is in strategic global financial stability in the form of governance (corporate), enterprise risk management and assurance. Since his appointment in academia and research, Tankiso Moloi has published more than 50 research outputs in the form of articles (academic papers) and conference presentations / proceedings. His research work has appeared in international IBSS / ISI / Scopus peer reviewed and accredited journals. Locally, his research peer reviewed work has appeared in the Department of Higher Education and Training (DoHET) accredited journals. He has attended and presented in several international conferences.
